For this assignment, I needed to track the ground collapse material to move it around, so I found the knowledge points that Gonzalo covered in week 7 – the tracker node and the cornerpin node.

In this section, I first imported the ground broken material and added the saturation and grade nodes to adjust the color to help the material blend into the picture and make the picture more natural.

Because I wanted to create the effect of an earthquake, of the ground collapsing. I erased all the posters from the classroom walls and found a few posters in my favorite style that I thought would go well with the theme.

In order to erase the green safety exit sign from the wall and with the ideas provided in this file, I am now able to see very clearly what each node is used for and the GRIN node helps me to eliminate noise and make the image more harmonious.
Above is a video of my presentation and with background music to simulate an earthquake. However, I don’t know how to deal with the falling objects because the lamps on the ceiling in the real scene will fall down during the earthquake. And I hope that in the future I can create a window breaking screen, so that I can simulate the earthquake scene more completely!
